Get to know Dan Deere-Jones

Freelance Bass Guitarist

Dan is in the final year of his BA (Hons) Music Industry Practise specialising in bass guitar at the Academy of Contemporary Music, studying under industry professionals including Brian Henry (Soul to Soul, Chaka Khan, Incognito), Mike Goodman (Wiley, Nate James, Guitarist magazine) and Sandy Beales (One Direction, Weatus, JP Cooper).

Over the last 4 years Dan has played professionally in venues around the UK and internationally. He has proven to be a valuable and capable musician in a variety of ensembles across a range of genres including pop, jazz and orchestral. His band, Tied and Wasted, has supported artists such as Bare Knuckle Parade and Verb T, as well as headlining venues and festivals such as Queens Hall (Pembrokeshire) and Pembs Fest.

Dan’s studio experience includes recording with Tied and Wasted, which lead to recognition from Radio Wales’ Adam Walton and Saturday night radio play on BBC Music Introducing. He has also played a number of sessions at Pembrokeshire’s Studio 41 and Mwnci Studios.

Original bass credits include collaborations for artists including Emma Jemima, Tara Flanagan and Loz Delora.  

Dan is also an accomplished guitarist with wide experience across a range of genres and ensembles and brings a breadth of musical understanding and collaborative knowledge to his work with other artists.
